SHANQIAO Chen depicts a newly established pig market. With emphasis on the
modernization of agriculture, the People’s Communes were dismantled
and rural free markets were opened to spur increased production
and economic development. Peasants were not limited in the number
of pigs they could raise and sell on the free market. |
