Combat Films and Research is a non-partisan political-military research center that uses photos and video images as a primary research tool. We send camera crews with regional and topical expertise throughout the world to document cultures and conflicts and package that footage and information gathered into analyses in the form of documentary films, educational materials, academic papers, articles, and lectures. For the past ten years CFR set itself apart from other film crews by gaining access to regions of the world otherwise considered impenetrable. HISTORY
In addition to documentary, research, and analysis, CFR continues to write and produced numerous corporate and personal histories for private businesses, university departments, high profile individuals and ordinary folk. ANALYSIS While truth can be considered subjective based on a skewing of the facts formulated on bias, perception and existing understanding, CFR takes great pains to digest, understand and then represent the facts revealed in all its works, sometimes challenging the conventional wisdom on topics both in and out of the public awareness. DOCUMENTARY Combat Films and Research has a rich history of both independent and partnered film production. With topics ranging from Chechnya to China, globalization to history and biography, we cover a broad spectrum limited only by the imagination. By combining a unique global perspective with the ability to access areas often considered unreachable or too dangerous, CFR provides a voice for stories often left behind. We focus on non-partisan, objective reporting of conflicts and stories from around the world. Our films have been featured on PBS, Channel Four U.K and CNN. CFR’s services have been contracted for clients such as the BBC, IDEX and many large production companies. Whether its shooting, editing, research, or general production, Combat Films has the knowledge and experience to get the job done. FOOTAGE LICENSING Combat Films and Research has provided licensed footage for numerous film and television productions both domestic and international. With an extensive film and photo archive that spans the globe, CFR is able to provide access to places and events not often captured on camera. Our unique footage has been featured on several PBS/Frontline and National Geographic programs, as well as many critically acclaimed and award winning documentaries. As an independent production house, Combat Films believes the filmmaking process is often a community effort. We provide flexible licensing arrangements for both established and new filmmakers. |
